Application Guidelines

General GuidelinesNote: Some of this information are TBD and open to changes only until the end of the interest check. This section will be updated prior to opening of contributor applications!✴︎ This zine is ship free.
✴︎ All applicants must be 16 or over by July 11th.
✴︎ You are free to apply for multiple roles but will only be accepted for one. However you are allowed to create more as long as your first is complete.
✴︎ This zine is not spoiler free up to ch.95
✴︎ Contributors retain rights to their work but are prohibited from sharing their WIPs outside the zine server until after zine pdf is posted.We are looking for:
≈ 20 Illustrators (includes: cover artist, any guest artists)
3-5Merch artists
3-5 WritersYou must be able to depict meaningful artwork/writing that reflect the theme of parallels, contrast and interrelationships between the Gems. Therefore it is expected of you to have read the manga (up to ch.95). Spoilers for beyond ch.96 can be referenced but major spoilers should be avoided.

- to write 1k - 3k words that reflect the themePortfolio Requirements:
- 3-5 pieces that best reflect your ability.
- Limit word count to be under 2.5k, excerpts are permitted.
- At least one piece must be a complete fic.
- At least 1 piece must be Houseki no Kuni centered.Merch Artist Application GuidelinesExpectations:
- To create atleast 2 pieces of merch, we will prioritise your preference once accepted.
- Exceptions: you only need to do 1 if it is a time consuming piece: eg shimejiPortfolio Requirements:
- 3 - 10 pieces that best reflect your artistic ability
- At least 1 HnK gem character
- At least 1 Merch specific (mock ups=ok) sample piece
- You are assessed on anatomy, composition, colour and personal style. The follower count will not be taken into consideration.Artist Application GuidelinesExpectations:- 1 single page OR a 2 page spread illustrations in 300dpi CMYK format
- We will offer the option of creating more pages/spreads if interestedPortfolio requirements

- Backgrounds are preferred but not necessary.

Coniunctio is a SFW, free digital, unofficial Houseki no Kuni fanzine focusing on the connection and interrelationships and highlighting the contrasts and parallels between all the gems.Will ships be included?
No romantic ships will be included, platonic ships are allowed.Is this zine for charity, for profit or free?
This is a free and P4P (pay for production) zine. There will be a free digital PDF with digital merch. Consumers have the option to purchase a physical zine.
This is not for profit, the cost will only cover the initial manufacturing cost. To ensure integrity, there will be frequent updates and as much transparency as possible between all parties.How will contributors be compensated?
All contributors will receive a DIGITAL pdf of the zine and digital merch, if possible a copy of a physical zine will be included.Can I apply if I’m a minor?
You must be 16+ by June 2022 to contribute.Will there be guests?**
